The Household Resilience Project employs locally based advocates, to provide information about additional help available for you. Local advocates work along side specialist partners to guide you through your options and ensure you can access the right support to meet your needs.
Strengthening Community Connections
Strengthen connections between vulnerable households and local support services, to address issues such as fuel, food, child and family, poverty, whist creating a network of third-sector organisations and individuals.
Bridging Skill Gaps
Support employed trainees, enabling them to develop the skills and confidence through accredited training and mentorship, preparing them for long-term employment opportunities.
Sustainable Community Impact
Promote long-term change by addressing poverty and supporting climate action activities, contributing to net-zero targets and enhancing community resilience.

Advocates can assist in connecting to specialists at: Alienergy and Home Energy Scotland to increase energy efficiency to reduce fuel costs and debt.

Support to access affordable furniture and household items is provided in partnership with Preloved to Reloved based in Campbeltown.

Advocates support Kintyre Recycling; Uniform Initiative, which provides access to school uniforms, helping to reduce household costs.

The project works to extend the reach of the Bute Advice Centre to provide specialist advice and information to maximise income and deal with debt issues.
